Wasted my time after I explicitly asked them not to. You have to got to hear this.. So they're doing a tent sale at Walmart in Dunnellon. I stop to glance at trucks, tell the girl I'm looking for an inexpensive one. She asks if I mean $5-$10k - I tell her YES and she points out a nice white Silverado, saying that would be the truck.
Well I had to come in to work to sign something today so I stopped back. Did test drive, gave them all info on my trade, my finances, etc. Spent a long time with them. They finally go in to a trailer to talk to the boss, come back and give me a price of over $22,000!!! I tell them I've already checked NADA black book value and it's only worth $8k to absolutely top value $12k. They ask for my offer, I say $8k, they come back (after disappearing into the trailer making me wait more) trying to haggle with me on picking a number at $12k or more.
We were up there for the sale they just had through August 15 and we were treated so awesome by Kyle and some of the other staff there. When we are able to get another vehicle we will definitely be back to have Kyle get us in another vehicle. He was very nice,he listened to us and answered our questions with no problem,he never pressured us . We couldn't have asked for a better guy. We can't wait to do business with Kyle and his co-workers at big bend Chevrolet. Kyle deserves alot of recognition for his outstanding work. Keep up the awesome work and we will definitely see you as soon as we can to buy our next vehicle.
The fact that they'd try to sell a truck for $10k over what it's worth is terrible enough. Especially since I told them clearly I was looking between $5-$10k, would be mad if they wasted my time knowing this, and they did it anyway. They had every opportunity to be straight with me and completely disrespected my time with shady sales techniques.
I ask for price several times and am refused, saying it's a unique negotiation deal because they are about to send them to auction. They say I have to drive it, discuss financing, and make an offer. I visit twice in the same day around work and the second time explicitly explain to them that I live in Ocala and if I come all the way out on my day off, spend time driving it and dealing with financing just to find out it's $11k or more that I can't/won't pay, I'm going to be MAD. The "event organizer" said he couldn't give me a price but when I said I thought $8-$10k he said I was probably pretty close.
I would not recommend taking my vehicle here; the drive to Gainsville to go to a quality shop is well worth it. This place has become worse since the new ownership. They do not care about customers or their vehicles.
Great spot. I enjoyed coming here with a friend for a car. Super friendly managers and staff. Answered so many questions and got the price right!
Tent sale was right near my house! It was fun everyone was friendly and they had some very nice cars! My friend was very pleased =] glad we stopped by.
